RAMSEY CHARLES is a singer, ​actor, mover who was born and ​raised in Armonk, New York. ​They have studied voice and ​theatre throughout their life, and ​will be graduating with their BFA ​in Musical Theatre from Western ​Connecticut State University in ​May of 2024.

About Me

They are currently located in Westchester County, ​New York, and have been working at Planet Fitness ​while completing their BFA. Working at a gym has ​developed RAMSEY’s passion for exercise, which ​has led to a fitness and nutrition journey they are ​excited to continue!

Off the stage, Ramsey loves ​spending time with their friends ​in the great outdoors. Whether it ​be a day hike, a camping trip, or a ​simple bonfire with the people ​they love, Ramsey feels most at ​home when connecting with ​nature and those around them, ​besides being on stage, of course.

RAMSEY is a current graduating senior with a B.F.A. ​in Musical Theatre from Western Connecticut State ​University. Since arriving at Western, they have ​performed roles such as Ensemble (U.S. Beadle ​Bamford) in Sweeney Todd, Bud (U.S. Rick Taylor) in ​Bat Boy, Ned Brinker in Allegro, Lord Clapham (U.S. ​Nick Bottom) in Something Rotten!, and Oberon in ​The Donkey Show: A Midsummer Nights Disco.

Education

While at Western Connecticut, they studied Uta ​Hagen, Chekov, Shakespeare, Farce Comedy, and ​other acting techniques under industry professionals ​such as John Hickok (Parade Broadway, Aida ​Broadway, Little Women Broadway), Tim Howard ​(Parade First Nat’l Tour dir. Hal Prince, ShowBoat ​Nat’l Tour dir. Hal Prince), and Chris Bolan. They have ​also had the privilege of studying dance at Western ​Connecticut under seasoned Broadway professionals ​Mary Ann Lamb (Chicago Broadway, Seussical ​Broadway), Tony-nominated Liz Parkinson (Movin’ ​Out Broadway, Fosse Broadway), and Tony Award ​winner Scott Wise (Jerome Robbins’ Broadway, ​Allegiance Broadway), as well as voice under industry ​professionals Megan Bolan (Mamma Mia! Broadway, ​Mary Poppins Broadway) and Ann Gershefski (The ​Kiss of the Spider Woman Broadway Pit Orchestra).
